Fall Must-Have: Corduroy Pants

I love leather pants but I've always had a thing for corduroy.  Looking back on old pictures from when I was about 4, I used to be bothered by the fact that I always seemed to have on brown corduroy pants and I always wondered why my mom dressed me so much like a boy, especially when I didn't have any older brothers whose clothes would be passed down.  Yet, throughout my life, I always had a pair of corduroy pants on hand in my closet.  Always brown ones.  I actually have a Guess pair that I haven't worn in a long time, so they will definitely go on my Wear Me Already list for fall.  If I have to choose between leather pants and a new pair of corduroys for fall, I think it's going to be a tough decision.  Hopefully I don't have to choose.  Because I'm already having a hard time choosing which colour corduroys to buy.  These definitely would not make me look like a boy.

Wear Me Already: Guess by Marciano Wedges - Days 2 & 3 + Nude Shoes

So my challenge was to wear these wedges I bought earlier this summer all week to make up for the fact that I didn't wear them all summer, not even once, until last week. You know how you wear a pair of shoes once or twice then need a break from them? Wearing these yesterday and today, I realized this is going to be the easiest challenge yet because not only are they really comfortable but I love wearing them.  I love the buckles and the colour.  Because they're nude, I look really, really tall.  Well, taller than I would in any other colour.  Then I got angry at myself for not wearing them all summer! At least I'm making up for it.

(First time I've worn this top too!)

I think I need to invest in more nude shoes.  I mean, they make me look taller!

These have a bow at the back.  Cute!

Fall Must-Have: Leather Pants/Leggings

Julia Roberts wore leather pants on David Letterman in 1998 and since then I've always wanted a pair.  I have yet to own a pair.  I used to have a pair of pleather pants from Le Chateau when I was in high school that I was obsessed with.  I had a faux leather skirt from Tristan that I loved, but it no longer fit me so I recently sold it on eBay (I really tried squeezing myself into that one but I had to give up).  I now only own a couple of leather jackets from Danier (one that is going to be on my Wear Me Already list for fall) so I think it's time for me to buy those leather pants once and for all. (Of course, with the money I make on eBay because that doesn't really count as spending money.)

Now which ones to buy...

Wear Me Already: Guess by Marciano Wedges

I sold my first and only pair of Christian Louboutin wedges on eBay this summer.  It's really hard to talk about.  I probably would've been wearing them every day but they just didn't fit properly and I thought they deserved a better home.  (Maybe if I had started this challenge before I decided to sell them, I would've worn them more often or figured out some way to wear them.)  When I sold them, I took the money and tried to fill the void immediately with these Guess by Marciano wedges.  They're beige (they'll match everything!), they're wedges (so comfy!) and they fit perfectly (!) = I'll wear them every day!  Or so I thought. Today is actually the first day I've worn them.  Maybe I'm just having a hard time moving on.  So my next challenge is to wear these wedges every day next week to help me get over those Christian Louboutins.  Kinda like a new boyfriend would help you get over an ex.  If only the Christian Louboutins would stop calling me.

Wear Me Already: Miss Sixty Wedges - Day 2 + Wedges for Fall

I thought I'd show my Miss Sixty orange wedges some love again.  I probably would have paired this outfit with the same old white Guess wedges I wear every day, but that would be incredibly boring and incredibly...white.  It's much more fun adding a touch of colour. Plus, I feel like a giant in these!  (Actual height = approx. 5'2)

Even though I am going to be desperately hanging on to summer, I do love a fall shoe/boot.  Not that I plan on buying any, of course.

Nope, definitely don't want these.  Nope.  Definitely not.  Maybe...I'll just try them on.

Even someone who used to run for her train in heels (which immediately stopped after I fell flat on my face onto slush, in front of a whole bunch of people, ruining my brand new white coat), I'm not quite sure how someone can walk in these without breaking an ankle. But either way, I think they're fierce!

I'm usually partial to black boots, although I do own a pair of brown boots, they have heels.  I think these would fall under the "need" category then.

Wear Me Already: Miss Sixty Wedges + Wedge Sandals

I have an obsession with wedges.  I own 8 pairs of wedge sandals, 1 pair of wedge booties and a few pairs of wedge knee-high boots.  I love the height of them (since I wasn't blessed with it) and yet they're super comfortable.  I remember falling in love with these Miss Sixty orange wedges instantly and going on about how comfortable they were (they are!), but I could probably count on one hand how often I have worn these.  I throw on the same pair of white Guess wedges almost every day.  I know they match more but it's not that difficult to match these, so it was time to show them some love.  I mean, I'm running out of time... I saw a woman wearing tights today.  Tights!

Top: H&M; Skirt: Jacob; Shoes: Miss Sixty;
Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs

I couldn't stop thinking about these all summer and was waiting for them to go on sale (especially after what happened with my other CL wedges, which I don't want to talk about).  Sadly when these finally went on sale, my size was gone.  Which, I guess, is a good thing because obviously I'm not in need of anymore wedges.

I was very close to purchasing these Gucci wedges, except the woman at Holt Renfrew was ignoring me!  Too bad she didn't know who she was dealing with... someone who has a hard time saying no to a new pair of shoes.  I hope she works on commission.  Big mistake.  Huge!

Wear Me Already: Killah Polka Dot Skirt + Steve Madden Wedges

When I pulled out this Killah skirt that I haven't worn in a long time, I immediately thought of pairing it with this Talula polka dot top I bought earlier this summer at Aritzia.  I put it on and thought it looked great together, but then I hesitated.  Is it too much polka dot?  If it comes in the form of a dress that's one thing, but putting something together yourself is another.  I thought it either looked great, or people were going to look at me like I was crazy.  Then I saw a picture of Elizabeth Banks last week wearing a mix of polka dots so I decided to just go for it, completing the outfit with a pair of Steve Madden wedges that used to be my go-to wedges (until my white Guess ones came into my life).
