I've always loved the idea of putting two brights together. My favourite combination = pink + orange. I've been trying to stay away from black as far as I remember. When I do wear it to work, people have commented that they usually don't see me in black. I do like black for an occasional dress, but it has to have some detail to make it interesting. Black dress pants are obviously a staple and easy to pair with anything in the fall/winter, especially on days when you're rushing out the door (which I am, a lot). I usually focus on skirts and pants, so I tend to wear a lot of black sweaters and turtlenecks in the winter. Again, because I'm usually rushing in the morning and it's the easiest colour to throw on (besides white of course) and not worry whether it matches said skirt or pants. Colour blocking isn't new this season but I've been excited to try the trend for fall. It doesn't necessarily mean two brights together but, to me, that's more exciting. In the summer, I paired bright orange sunglasses with bright blue pants but I've decided to take it one step further, using a bright yellow skirt I bought this summer. Transitioning a summer skirt into fall = bonus points! (Will pair the skirt with tights for winter = triple points!) If I didn't stop to actually think about it, I never would've thought this skirt would take me through 4 seasons.
